We're again working with ANALOGUETRASH
We’re again working with ANALOGUETRASH to bring a smorgasbord of alternative electronic music to the Carpe stage. Three great acts – running order announced on the night!
DEF NEON’s music is an eclectic and energetic mix of Rock, Dirty Electro and Bass Music; themselves describing their sound as Daft Punk crossed with Siouxsie Sioux, or Peaches meets Van Halen. You may remember them from their previous visit, or possibly from Infest – on both occasions they blew the fucking doors off!
ROOM 1985: a mix of 70s era Pink Floyd, classic 80s vibes and a whisper of post rock and metal; all mixed with modern electronic sounds and techniques. They combine all these diverse influences into something new and engaging; ready to take your hand, your soul, your brain and your heart on a deep, emotional journey.
VIEON: inspired heavily by the 70s and 80s European art electronica pioneers (Jarre, Moroder, Kraftwerk), combined with the more recent influences of contemporary synthpop artists (Daft Punk, Royksopp, Justice). They’ve raised their profile dramatically throughout 2015-18 with a series of engaging audio-visual shows famed for their ambitious scope, including banks of synthesizers, theremin, keytar, live-produced projections and synchronised light display.
CARPE NOCTUM is the long-running club night established in 1999. Playing the best classic and contemporary dark alternative – goth, post-punk, industrial, garage, psychobilly, punk, indie, punk and what-have-you – with request-friendly DJs through till 2am. It’s the biggest and longest-running night of its kind in the North!
THE LENDING ROOM is Leeds’ finest big small venue! With state-of-the-art lighting, PA and engineers, you can get up-close-and-personal with some of the best acts around today, and still sidle back to the bar in short order. Please note the Lending Room is an upstairs venue with no level access.
