“Amazing musicianship… a thump-a-thon of gargantuan tunes” – Leeds Music Scene
“Insanely catchy, densely packed, seamless pop perfection” – Whisperin’ and Hollerin’
“Blackly humorous, witty, catchy, genuinely inventive, and cleverer than the Kaiser Chiefs” – Tasty Fanzine
Shatner have just released their fourth album “Enlightenmental”. Two previous albums were voted into the ‘top local albums of the decade” by Vibrations mag’ poll.
Their infectious sci-fi tinged power pop has been recently described as “somewhere between The Clash and The B52s.” It’s pop Jim but not as you know it!
STEVE WOODS and the HOODS
They began life in the basement of the Primrose pub, they’re a very energetic 4 piece indie rock band with a punk edge, expect songs about heavy drinking, shit pubs, and local history written by their 6ft 6 front man.
“Clever lyrics and happy little tunes… we definitely found ourselves fond of them.” – York Calling
New band Fond are power-pop fitting in somewhere between REM and Jonathan Richman, with new and original sounds of their own. The band is a result of several years lost at sea for Edinburgh-born singer Alex, during which many of the humorous songs were concocted. At last firmly land-lubbered in Leeds, Fond are now raging out of the chrysalis to disturb the local music scene with their out-of-the-blue jangly boom-racket.
‘The Orangutans play an indie pop style full or energy and charisma, they played original songs with great vibes, tones and lyrics!’- IPO festival
A band leaning towards the indie-pop scene with a bit of funk involved, creating fun, relevant and catchy music to share with the world!
