In the grand scheme of young bands to care about, Manchester-based alternative trio, False Advertising, present a tantalising prospect. With three years together spent bubbling under the surface of the UK music scene garnering kudos for their chaotic live shows and self-made releases, their niche is now carved, and the stage set for something bigger.
Rounding off last year with a full page feature in NME which praised their brand of slacker-rock as “delightful”, 2018 has seen the band hailed as a certified “band’s band”, with Robert Smith (The Cure) personally inviting them to play his own Meltdown festival, Steve Lamacq praising their ferocity upon catching their SXSW set, Everything Everything endorsing them as “their favourite new band” live on Radio 1 and guitarist Jen Hingley being voted 8th ‘Best New Guitarist In The World’ by Total Guitar.
The band are gearing up for their new album campaign, set for release in 2019 which is currently being worked on at Paul Epworth’s Church Studios.
Venting heightened emotions of united frustration, whilst deftly mixing grunge with alternative rock. Lyrically half-pop-culture-junkie, half-moronic-anti- anthem, the instrument-swapping trio’s songs are laced joyful catharsis and dissonance, their rotating line up of front-person and drummer fostering both inclusivity and unpredictability.

Faux Pas will claw their way into your every waking thought and make you beg for more. Taking influence from the Riot Grrrl movement; along with bands like Placebo, they have brought their own twisted brand of Indie Punk to Reading and Leeds, Kendal Calling and BBC Radio 1. Exploring the myth of fame, the Manchester-based quartet will bring back punk and empower the disenfranchised.

Household Dogs will usher you into their own raw reality.
Marrying Alternative Rock and Americana the Leeds based five-piece create melodic backdrops onto which they paint decisively honest stories.
From their performances at 2018’s Reading and Leeds Festivals to supporting The Blinders at their sell-out Brudenell Social Club show, The Dogs have swiftly become recognised for their ungovernable live performances.

Bloodhound are a three-piece grunge-rock band from Hull taking influence from the likes of modern rock and classic grunge bands like Drenge, Queens of The Stone Age, Royal Blood and Alice In Chains. Bloodhound’s new single, ‘FRSTRTD’, is a collaboration between themselves and Leeds based psych-grunge trio Brooders, who feature on the track as well having produced, mixed and mastered the project. Their sound delivers monstrous riffs and mammoth choruses alongside psychedelic noise that twists their songs into fast-paced utopia.
