Askies distinct sound bridges the gap between explosive UK alternative rock, whilst backed by surroundings of a reminiscent jangly, indie groove. The outfit set about creating a captivating live show in late 2017 and have been gigging relentlessly up and down the country ever since. The quartet have most notably grown a following within their hometown of Leeds, after the gigging and releasing of their first two singles, ‘Mirror’ and ‘Bond’. With releases planned well into the summer months, Askies are set to complete the first saga of their musical journey, setting out their stall as an innovative but classic example of a new wave of guitar music. Having been heralded as ones to watch in 2019, the 4 piece are looking to stretch their music to wider audiences and carry on winning over crowds across the country with their new and energetic sound.
‘Catch them live as soon as you can’ – BBC Introducing West Yorkshire
Riscas are a four piece indie pop band based in Birmingham, recently named BBC Radio 1’s introducing artist of the week and charting 4th on Spotify’s most viral UK tracks, the band have made a very impressionable start considering they only formed back in early 2016.
Channelling spritely indie-rock sentimentality with a tropical edge. The result is a seamless concoction of influences including the wriggling rhythms of Vampire Weekend and Two Door Cinema Club, the euphoric, festival ready choruses of The Maccabees and the anecdotal earworms of The 1975. Amassing over 3,000,000 streams and 150,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and with no sign of stopping, Riscas are taking the country by storm.

York-based indie rockers The Vedettes are no normal indie band. Not content to merely imitate those that came before, the quintet’s debut single ‘Silver’ is a mission statement of a band who tread their own path while the bands second single, ‘Better Than You’ displays their creativity and dedication by delving somewhat ‘experimental’ grooves and structures.
