What is Leeds like as a city to be a band in?
Brilliant, magical, exciting, surprising and so much more. Leeds is a city absolutely blossoming with amazing bands, great venues and the maddest fans. Its always exciting, and its our home so we have a lot of love for the place and the people.
What’s the most memorable gig you’ve had so far?
Probably something like Y Not Festival. That was something pretty special for us. After two nights of solid rain about 200 people trudged through the sludge to come get wild with us. It meant the world to us and we enjoyed every minute. Notable mentions go to the Faux Pas gig we played at The Wardrobe which was a solid night of moshing and when we played main stage Brudenell. Thats always been a dream of ours…
What other up and coming bands are you tipping?
SO MANY. Faux Pas, Glass Mountain, Crosa Rosa, The Magic Eye Pictures, Chest Pains, Fizzy Blood, Kit Trigg, Chambers, The Golden Age Of TV, Kell, Purple Thread, Caro, Easy Life, Hands Off Gretel, Reed and so much more. The ongoing list could literally fill the entire blog.
If the band was a guitar pedal what would it be?
A fuzzy boomy octave with more delay than the human ears can sustain.
If you could go back to any era as a band when would it be?
All of them? Is that ok? The surfacing of plainsong would be pretty cool. so 6th century A.D. seems like a good place to start.
If you could change the world in one aspect, what would it be?
The amount footballers get paid. Hell i’d love 50 million for chasing a ball!
